v1.1.3 LATEST
Released Jun 5, 2026

A new app icon, animated splash & a rebuilt QuickAdd

Receeto gets a hand-illustrated liquid-glass app icon, a smooth animated splash on launch, and a fully rebuilt QuickAdd sheet that feels native to iOS. Plus simpler new pricing and a cleaner Tag Manager.

New
01

Brand new app icon

A hand-illustrated receipt with an embossed "$" mark, built as a liquid-glass icon with light, dark, and tinted variants. The Profile, Subscription, and Paywall screens now show the new icon at sizes that sit naturally next to their text.

Liquid glass Light / Dark / Tinted
02

Animated splash screen

Launches now open on a clean app-themed background (no icon flash from the system launch screen). The icon, the "Receeto" title, and the "100% Offline Expense Logger" tagline ease in from below, hold briefly, then ease out to the top before the home screen appears.

Changed
03

QuickAdd sheet rebuilt

A native iOS sheet with a standard navigation bar, system Cancel / Save buttons, and the amount front and center as the primary input, replacing the old custom panel. The scan, date, and category shortcuts are now three equal-width chips labelled "Today", the category name, and "Scan" that fill with accent color the moment you override them.

04

New, simpler pricing

Effective June 5, 2026, Yearly is now $6.99/year and Lifetime is $8.99 as a one-time purchase.

$6.99 / year $8.99 lifetime
05

Cleaner Tag Manager

The Tag Manager now uses an inline title and a transparent list background that matches the rest of the app theme.

Fixed
06

Profile header tagline stays on one line

The "Your data never leaves your device." line in Settings / Profile no longer wraps. The in-app icon was cropped to remove its safe-area padding so the receipt fills its container without nudging the layout.

07

No more jump when the keyboard opens

The Dashboard no longer shifts its content when the QuickAdd keyboard appears.

v1.1.2
Released May 2, 2026

Tags, Analytics filters & a new yearly view

Colored tags now sit alongside categories for drill-downs like "Food on Trip to Paris", a unified filter menu replaces the old calendar in Analytics, the new Yearly view groups transactions by month, and pinch-to-zoom finally lands on the receipt viewer. Plus ~110 currencies, two dedicated iOS shortcuts, and a quieter empty-state Dashboard.

New
01

Tags

Attach colored labels to any expense - any expense can have multiple tags, all stored fully offline. Add or pick tags on the Add Expense and Expense Detail screens via a dedicated tag picker sheet; manage your library (create, rename, recolor, delete) from a new Tag Manager screen in Profile. Each tag draws from a curated palette and shows as a chip on transaction rows. Deleting a tag detaches it without removing the expenses.

Tags Tag Manager Offline
02

Filter Analytics by tag

A unified filter menu in the Analytics navbar (single icon, replaces the old calendar) now offers Filter by date and Filter by tags. The tag filter is a searchable sheet with All Tags, Untagged, and a usage-sorted list of tags in the current period - combinable with the category filter for drill-downs like "Food on Trip to Paris". The filter icon shows a dot when any filter is active, and each menu row shows its own dot indicator.

03

Calendar filter with Monthly & Yearly modes

The chevron-based month stepper is gone. Tap the new calendar icon to open a filter sheet with Monthly and Yearly modes. Monthly shows a 3-column grid of months with a tappable year selector; Yearly shows a year list with totals and a radio selector. A custom-range filter is on the way next.

04

Yearly view groups transactions by month

When you pick a year, the list shows pinned month section headers ("MAY ₹7,525.94", "APRIL ₹44,355.77") with day groups beneath each. The pinned header swaps as you scroll between months.

05

Today / Yesterday labels in day headers

The current day now shows as "Today" and the prior day as "Yesterday" anywhere a day group surfaces, instead of a bare day-of-month number.

06

Reset button on filter sheets

Both the date and tag filter sheets now have a leading Reset action that snaps back to defaults (current month / All Tags) in one tap.

07

Scrolling category legend on Analytics

A segmented bar plus a continuously-scrolling marquee of categories (with their totals) now sits between the period total and the pace cards, replacing the old static legend.

08

Pinch-to-zoom on receipt images

The full-screen receipt viewer now supports continuous pinch-zoom from 1x to 5x in addition to the existing double-tap toggle, with drag-to-pan whenever you're zoomed in.

09

Quieter empty Dashboard

The hero card and stat cards stay hidden until you log your first expense, so the very first run reads as "Track your first expense" rather than a wall of zeros.

10

Two dedicated iOS shortcuts: Scan Receipt and Log Expense

Both are exposed to the Shortcuts app, the Action Button, the lock-screen widget, and Siri. Scan routes straight to the camera; Log Expense opens the manual quick-add sheet. Replaces the earlier single combined shortcut - two dedicated ones are easier to find and assign.

Shortcuts Action Button Lock Screen Siri
11

32 supported currencies

The list expands to 32 currencies, covering more major Asia-Pacific, Latin American, Middle Eastern, African, and European fiat currencies that weren't in the original set. The currency picker, on-receipt rendering, and historical conversion all read from the same expanded list.

Changed
12

One source of truth for the Analytics period

Total, comparison line ("vs last month" / "vs last year"), pace section ("EST. MAY" / "EST. 2026"), category buckets, and the transaction list now all stay perfectly in sync with whatever period you've picked, so switching months or years updates the whole screen at once.

13

Filter sheet feels native

Standard iOS toolbar with a Done button, a segmented control for switching between Monthly and Yearly, a menu picker for the year, and a grouped list for the year list - all tinted to the app's monochrome ink color.

14

Removed the "View all N in Receipts" footer card

Gone from filtered Analytics views, where it added noise more than it added a path.

Fixed
15

Disappearing transaction rows on Analytics

Rows near the bottom of the list were fading out before they actually scrolled off-screen. They now stay fully visible until they truly leave the viewport, matching the Dashboard's behaviour.

16

App Store transfer

Receeto is now signed under a new Apple Developer team. Existing receipts, scans, and any active subscriptions on your device carry over without any action on your part.

17

Hairline gap between navbar and pinned month header

A faint 1-2pt seam where scroll content peeked through between the nav bar and the pinned month header is gone. The two now meet cleanly.

German localization, in-app update banner & the fix for stuck-in-English strings

Deutsch joins as the 9th language (~844 translation strings total), an in-app banner now nudges you when a new App Store build is live, receipts remember their original currency for accurate historical conversion, and a root-cause fix to the SwiftUI typing means the whole UI translates by construction.

New
01

German (Deutsch) added as a 9th language

Alongside English, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Simplified Chinese. The string catalog grew by ~244 keys this release, bringing the total to roughly 844 translated strings.

DE EN FR ES IT JA KO RU ZH-Hans
02

In-app "update available" banner

Receeto now checks the App Store on launch and when you bring the app forward. When a newer version is live, a banner surfaces on the Dashboard and Profile with a one-tap link to update.

03

Receipts remember their original currency

Receipts that aren't linked to an expense can now be re-rendered in your current display currency using historical rates, so old scans stay accurate when you switch currencies.

Fixed
04

Strings that "still showed in English" across the app

A handful of labels, titles, subtitles, chips, and captions across onboarding, settings, summary cards, detail rows, scan-extracted fields, and the paywall were silently slipping past translation and showing in English regardless of your language. The whole UI now translates by construction, so this whole class of bug is gone for good.

v1.1.0
Released Apr 18 - Apr 19, 2026

Dark mode, scan-anywhere shortcuts & a rebuilt iOS 26 pipeline

A native-feeling dark mode, system-level Scan Receipt quick actions from Siri and the Action Button, a gentle daily reminder, three new currencies, and a modernized OCR pipeline for iOS 26 - plus polish across the dashboard.

New
01

Dark mode with a circular-wipe transition

A System / Light / Dark picker that remembers your choice across launches. Toggling from the Dashboard plays a growing circular-wipe reveal that feels native, not janky. Every surface, border, and control recolours automatically as you switch.

02

"Scan Receipt" everywhere

A new App Intent surfaces Scan Receipt in the Shortcuts app, Siri, Spotlight, and the iPhone Action Button. A matching home-screen long-press shortcut handles both cold launches and warm-path cases.

Siri Shortcuts Action Button Spotlight
03

Lens-smudge hint while scanning

On iOS 26+, Receeto now checks for lens smudges right after the receipt auto-frames. A non-blocking yellow "Wipe your lens for a sharper scan" hint appears when it's confident enough to flag it.

iOS 26+ Vision
04

Default daily reminder at 6:30 PM

On a fresh install, Receeto asks once for notification permission and, if you accept, schedules a daily nudge for 6:30 PM. Decline once and you'll never be asked again.

05

Review prompt after first successful scan

Fires at the moment of peak engagement. Apple rate-limits it to three per user per year, so it never becomes noise.

06

Three new currencies

Romanian Leu (RON), Mauritian Rupee (MUR), and Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH). Symbols, names, flags, detection markers (including Cyrillic грн), and the on-device LLM whitelist all updated.

RON MUR UAH
07

Tighter scan accuracy from a new test suite

21 golden tests now cover amount, merchant, date, currency, and category extraction, OCR misread correction, split-column receipt layouts, label-to-amount pairing, and weird input. Future scan changes have to clear all of them before they ship to you.

Improved
08

Receipt scanning pipeline, modernized for iOS 26

On iOS 26+, Receeto now uses Apple's newer document-recognition engine, which understands paragraphs and tables natively, and falls back gracefully on older devices. The TOTAL label now pairs with the amount sitting on the same row across the receipt, before falling back to text-pattern matching. Date detection is rebuilt on Apple's native data detectors, retiring a tangle of hand-rolled formatters.

09

Field-edit UX in receipt processing

Chevron accessories replaced with a clearer "Edit ›" label on merchant, amount, category, and date rows. Tap targets now span the whole row instead of just the text.

10

Dashboard refresh

New hero card and modular stat cards replace the older single-card layout. Tighter 16pt corner radii on Scan and Manual buttons match the rest of the B&W system. Transaction rows and in-app typography tuned for the paper-like aesthetic.

11

Receipt image viewer

New lightweight viewer component for inspecting captured receipt photos.
