Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Receeto ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
Receeto is a 100% offline app. It does not require an account, does not collect your data, and processes everything on your device. These Terms are intentionally simple and transparent.
Description of the App
Receeto is an AI-powered receipt scanner and expense tracker for iOS. The App allows you to:
- Scan and digitize paper receipts using your device's camera
- Automatically extract merchant names, amounts, dates, and categories
- Organize and categorize your expenses
- View spending analytics and insights
All processing is performed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device machine learning frameworks. No data is transmitted to external servers.
License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any Apple device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Your Data
Receeto stores all data — including scanned receipts, extracted information, and expense records — locally on your device within the App's private, sandboxed storage. We do not have access to your data at any time.
You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data. If you delete the App, all data stored within it will be permanently removed. If you use iCloud backups, your device backup may include Receeto's data per your iCloud settings — this is managed by Apple, not by us.
Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Receeto and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without prior written consent.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- That the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
- That the results obtained from the App (such as OCR accuracy or expense categorization) will be accurate or reliable
While we strive for accuracy in receipt scanning and data extraction, you should verify important financial information independently. The App is intended as a personal organizational tool and should not be relied upon as the sole record for tax, legal, or financial purposes.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Receeto and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
Apple App Store
The App is made available through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA shall take precedence with respect to your use of the App.
You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.
Termination
You may terminate your use of the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may update, modify, or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice. These Terms remain in effect until terminated by either party.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Significant changes may also be noted in App Store update descriptions.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Receeto operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
